From the junction of Route 1 and 90 in Rockport head 0.3 mile east on West Street. Turn left at the intersection. Drive 0.5 mile and then stay right onto Russell Avenue. The Farm is located 0.6 mile on either side of the road at 20 Russell Avenue, Rockport.

Getting to Know Aldermere Farm

A Rich Farming History

MCHT has maintained this 136-acre working Belted Galloway Cattle farm since 1991, introducing many educational and community programs to help visitors deepen their appreciation for land conservation and sustainable agriculture. Aldermere Farm has a rich history and is known as one of the world’s premier breeders of Belted Galloway cattle. You can ask anyone in Rockport or Camden where the “Belties” or “Oreo Cows” are, and they’ll point you to Aldermere Farm.Curious to learn more about the preserve and its operation alongside Erickson Fields? World Fish Migration Day

Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) will join partners and communities across the state on May 23, 2026 for a series of locally led events to celebrate migratory fish, river restoration, and the partnerships driving this conservation work forward. World Fish Migration Day activities will take place from York County to eastern Washington County on the Mousam, Bagaduce, Sheepscot, Orange, and Narraguagus Rivers, all part of MCHT’s multi‑year Rivers Initiative.
