Join local area partners for a paddle on the Orange River in celebration of the water trail. We will put in on Orange Lake and paddle down the river to Playhouse Lane. An optional stop including a guided hike is available at Estey Mountain with Downeast Coastal Conservancy and we will all stop for a provided lunch.
We’ll meet at Cobscook Insitute in Trescott at 9am, then be shuttled/carpool to the launch site.
Canoes and gear are provided (reach out if you prefer to paddle your own boat).

- Be prepared for weather & bugs!
What to wear:
- Bring an extra layer and a hat!
- Waterproof shoes, or shoes you don’t mind getting wet.

The Orange River Water Trail is a flat-water trail including miles of fresh water teeming with wildlife. Local organizations have increased recreation access within the watershed with the addition of new picnic areas, campsites, and hiking trails.
