Join us for a shore clean up on Great Gott Island, just south of Bass Harbor Light, where we’ll focus on clearing the eastern shoreline of accumulated fishing gear and marine debris.
We’ll meet at the Seal Cove dock at 9:00 and ride out together on two of MCHT’s work boats. Throughout the day, volunteers will help gather trash and transfer it back to the boats to be shuttled back to Seal Cove for disposal. Come prepared for sun, salt air, and a rewarding day of coastal stewardship.
Please Bring: PFD for Young Adults, (PFD for adults can be provided), work gloves, muck boots to get in and out of dingy, sturdy shoes for walking shoreline, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottle, snacks/packed lunch, pocketknives for cutting rope (though tools will be provided).
