“These murals are an homage to nature, the Wabanaki peoples of the midcoast Maine region, and the communal gathering around said nature to create spaces for inclusion, gardening, foodways, and self-growth.”

— Norma Randi Marshall

Visitors can experience Norma’s work in person as they pass through an archway to the gardens and trails of Erickson Fields Preserve in Rockport. This art project aims to share a narrative of food sovereignty and the ongoing importance of the Midcoast region to Wabanaki Peoples, while depicting how growing food can bring people together across different communities, and support care of the Land and its health for future generations. To all who contributed to make this project possible, thank you.
