We will meet MDIFW wildlife biologists for an evening walk through Mason Bay Preserve and learn about the American woodcock and how the land is managed for wildlife. Then we will venture into the field to hopefully glimpse the courting display of the American Woodcock. We will be guided by the nearly full moon, but please bring a flashlight for walking in the dark.
We will meet at the Mason Bay kiosk off Route 187 in Jonesport.
Please bring the following:
- Flashlight or head lamp
- Sturdy shoes
Free. Please register in advance.
