We will walk with a Maine Master Naturalist who will demonstrate how to identify perennials with a winter botany field guide. In addition, we will look up at the canopy and dive into winter tree ID, learning about how the different layers of the forest interact to support wildlife.
This program will be guided by Holly O’Neal. Holly grew up along the Ohio River and fell in love with nature from an early age. She moved to Maine about 8 years ago and worked on a lobster boat before transitioning into environmental education and advocacy. She enjoys connecting people with the natural world. She has a B.S. from Oregon State University in Natural Resources with a focus in education, and she recently got her Maine Guide license and Maine Master Naturalist certification.
This event may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Please register in advance here.
