Join Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s Marsh Restoration Program Manager Tatia Bauer for a Salt Marsh Restoration Presentation and Q&A highlighting an exciting, multi-year restoration effort at Long Marsh.
This project focuses on restoring natural tidal flow across degraded marsh areas impacted by historic agricultural ditching and altered hydrology. By improving drainage patterns and reconnecting tidal channels, the work aims to reduce persistent pooling, support vegetation recovery, and increase the marsh’s resilience to sea level rise.
This event is presented in partnership with Harpswell Heritage Land Trust
