Aili (she/her) comes to MCHT with experience working in the legal field. Aili has been hiking and paddling all over the state of Maine for over 30 years. One of her biggest passions is taking part in kayak races, on rivers, coastal areas and lakes. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from the University of Maine and an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Beal College in Bangor.

Aili joined MCHT in late January of 2022.

On land conservation: “I have a deep understanding of the peace of mind being out in nature can bring us all. To me, land conservation means making sure that peace of mind will be there for all of us in the future as well as for future generations. Specifically, conserving the Maine Coast is so important as it is such a unique and stunningly beautiful place, which attracts people from all over the world. Sitting quietly by the water, or in your boat on the water, is one of the most worthwhile endeavors I can think of.”

On the job: Aili is the Topsham Office Administrator. She is responsible for making sure the office runs smoothly, assisting with calendars and meetings, and being the face of MCHT in Topsham. Aili is also an assistant in the Land Protection department, assisting project managers as they work to preserve and conserve the Maine Coast.
