Videos from the Coast
Tour a preserve, learn from a land steward, or enjoy calming coastal moments.
Aldermere Farm Preserve in Rockport is famous for its Belted Galloway herd, but its also home to beautiful Lily Pond at the foot of the Camden Hills.

Working with a committed landowner, the Passamaquoddy Tribe and the University of Maine, MCHT helped conserve a culturally significant peninsula in East Machias.
We use the term Whole Place to describe natural areas with a critical and intangible quality of integrity. Learn more about our work to protect Whole Places.
We love to bring people out on the coast to experience MCHT conserved lands, and every year offer a series of field trips and events to connect people to the land.
MCHT is committed to creating unique and lasting experiences for those getting out on the coast, and one way we do that is by creating and maintaining trails for people to enjoy.
MCHT is about protecting the character of Maine for future generations. Nowhere is that more true than on Mount Desert Island, where MCHT was founded in 1970.
In 1970, while witnessing dramatic changes to the Maine Coast, co-founders Peggy Rockefeller and Tom Cabot joined together to form Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT).
