Fall 2019 - Downeast Edition
From the President
Thank You for 50 Years
“As the Maine coast evolved over time, Maine Coast Heritage Trust evolved with it—conserving land to keep the coast beautiful, but also healthy, working, and open to the public.
Time and time again, MCHT served as a powerful catalyst for conservation, bolstering other land trusts, and playing a supporting or leading role in some of the most significant land conservation efforts in the state of Maine.”
Celebrating 50 Years of Leadership
Since its founding in 1970, MCHT has grown and evolved to becomes a state and national leader in land conservation. All of this work is made possible through partnership and the extraordinary generosity of so many.
Celebrate the milestones with us.
Days to Go in the Largest Coastal Conservation Campaign in Maine’s History
More than 7,000 people have stepped up to donate to MCHT’s ongoing Campaign to keep the coast open, healthy, working, and beautiful. The Campaign concludes at the end of 2019, and has already made a remarkable impact on the coast.
Conserving the Stone Barn Farm
Over the past several months, MCHT has been fundraising to acquire and open to the public Mount Desert Island’s Stone Barn Farm—including the iconic buildings and surrounding lands and trails.
Thanks to our Donors
Everything you read about here is possible thanks to MCHT donors and supporters. Thank you for all you do for the Maine coast.
Have you made your gift to MCHT? If not, give today, and keep up the good work for the coast.
