Update 7/30/2020: We are no longer accepting orders for the Saltwater Shindig 2020. Want to join us next year? Sign up to receive email updates on events, conservation news, and more.
Looking for a fun way to support conservation on the Maine coast and get outside this summer? Take part in this year’s reimagined Saltwater Shindig.
Purchase and pick up a DIY clambake or lobster roll kit from Big Tree Catering (the geniuses behind Eventide, Hugo’s, and The Honey Paw) and a cold brew from Maine Beer Company in Yarmouth on August 1. In addition to a world-class seafood feast, we’ll provide you with tips and fun, family-friendly activities to enjoy on the coast all summer long!
The nitty-gritty details
Cost: Clambakes are $65 per bake (enough for one person). Lobster roll kits are $50 for two rolls (enough for one person).
Fixings: Clambakes include lobster tail, steamer clams, mussels, the famous Eventide salt pork, corn, potatoes, and a bottle of beer from Maine Beer Company.
Each lobster roll kit comes with everything you need to make the famous Eventide Brown Butter Lobster Roll—picked lobster meat, brown butter vinaigrette, steam buns, and chives for two lobster rolls, as well as a side salad.
Prep: Each clambake comes ready to steam at home—complete with instructions! And lobster rolls are simple: warm the lobster and pack your steam buns with all the goods to make the famous Eventide Brown Butter Lobster Rolls!
Pick Up: Saturday, August 1, 12 – 2 pm at Cousins River Marsh in Yarmouth, an MCHT preserve-in-the-making. Detailed directions to pick up spot will be provided.
Here is what you get along with your seafood feast!
