Thanks for being a member of the Next Wave Circle, the group of Maine Coast Heritage Trust donors under 50 who give $500 or more annually.
Maine Coast Heritage Trust has a ton of fun ways to connect to the coast for you and your fellow Next Wavers. Find the experience that inspires you, grab a friend or grab the kids, and head out. We can’t wait to see you out on the coast for community gatherings, group hikes, nature walks, and more.
Saltwater Shindig, August 12 – Save the Date!
This is the one you’ve been hearing about! MCHT’s Next Wave hosts this epic clambake on a sandbar at The Goslings Preserve in Casco Bay. Mark your calendars and keep an eye on your in-box for your invitation. Tickets go on-sale May 19 at 9:00 am.

Clark Island Bird Walk

Join us at Clark Island Preserve for a guided birdwalk where we’ll look for migratory songbirds, shorebirds, and more.

Bird Walk at Erickson Fields

We’ll take a guided bird walk with MCHT steward and naturalist Kirk Gentalen at Erickson Fields Preserve in Rockport. (You might know Kirk from his popular Nature Bummin’ blog!) Learn tips on how to identify birds by sight and sound.
Next Wave Circle: Access for Everyone

The Next Wave Circle meets at the new Adaptive Outdoor Education Center in Brunswick for an in-depth discussion about providing access for people of all abilities at MCHT preserves.

Next Wave Circle: Malaga Island Preserve
Phippsburg | 1:00 pm — 4:00 pm
Join your fellow members of MCHT’s Next Wave Circle for a personal tour of Malaga Island Preserve in Phippsburg which was once home to a mixed-race fishing community which was forcibly evicted by the state of Maine in 1912.
