Thank you for all you do for the Maine coast and Maine Coast Heritage Trust! Please join us for our annual summer celebration on Mount Desert Island.
Every year, on the first Friday in August, we look forward to our annual gathering on Mount Desert to celebrate the conservation successes of the past year that you helped make possible and raise a toast to everyone who helps keep the coast open, working, healthy, and beautiful.

Join us this year in a classic Maine waterfront setting with plenty of lobster served fresh off the boat. We have a lot to celebrate!
You’re invited to a festive gathering at Beal’s Lobster Pier to celebrate the invaluable role you play in land conservation in Maine. We look forward to honoring your unique contributions and the collective impact that MCHT’s lead supporters had in 2022.
Drinks and hors d’oeuvres served. Dress is cocktail casual.

CODE RED: Climate, Justice, and Natural History Collections

Supported by scientists and cultural specialists from communities across Maine, the exhibit called CODE RED at the Maine Historical Society focuses on how museums collect, and the role of humans in creating changes in society, climate, and biodiversity. Special discount for the MCHT community!

Winter Tracking Talk

Join MCHT naturalist and regional land steward Kirk Gentalen at the Camden Public Library for an in-person talk about tracking wildlife in the wintertime.

Winter Animal Tracking Walk
Rockport | 9:30 am — 12:00 p.m.
Join naturalist and MCHT land steward Kirk Gentalen for a lively morning outdoors discovering some of the wildlife stories that Erickson Fields Preserve in Rockport has to offer.

Join Merryspring Nature Center and MCHT’s Kirk Gentalen for an engaging look at the fisher, a fascinating (and often misunderstood) resident of the Maine woods.

Winter Animal Tracking Walk

Join MCHT naturalist Kirk Gentalen at Merryspring Nature Center in Camden for an all-ages winter walk to look for and interpret animal tracks, trails, and tunnels in the snow. Sign up today – space is limited!
