A monthly virtual series on Zoom

Join us online on the third Thursday of the month for a look at the work our donors make possible. Whether it’s access to the water, resilience to climate change, working with your community leaders, or supporting your local land trust—there’s so much to talk about!
Sessions are presented by members of the MCHT board, staff, and partner organizations who are out there every day, working together, to make the work happen. There’s plenty of time at the end of each session to answer your questions.
THIS MONTH:
Community Programming at Aldermere Farm: the Power of 4-H
Aldermere Farm in Rockport is an unique MCHT preserve with a robust slate of community programs, in addition to being a working farm and home to an award-winning herd of Belted Galloway cattle. The programs serve community kids, the local food pantry, Maine farmers, and many others.
This Third Thursday is devoted to the robust 4-H program. We’ll hear from Cindy Rogers of the UMaine Cooperative Extension about this great program for kids 9-18; Elizabeth Eaton will share her experience growing up with the Aldermere Achievers 4-H program and her successes since; and Aaron Englander, MCHT Interim Farm Preserve Director, will give us an update on Aldermere’s $3.8 million Campaign to fund infrastructure needed to support the community programs at Aldermere Farm and Erickson Fields Preserve.
Host: Kate Stookey, MCHT President and CEO.
Presented by: Cindy Rogers, 4-H Community Education Assistant, University of Maine Cooperative Extension; Elizabeth Eaton, Aldermere 4-H alumna; Aaron Englander, Interim Farm Preserve Manager
There will be plenty of time at the end for your questions!
