The President’s Circle Boat Tour – Surry
Tinker Island, Blue Hill Bay
The event
Join MCHT president and CEO Kate Stookey along with members of our stewardship and land protection staff for an evening cruise through the Mt. Desert Narrows and Blue Hill Bay.
Our route
MCHT’s many projects in this area include Jeds, Folly and Tinker Island, along with Harriman Point, Seal Cove, and Pretty Marsh. We’ll head down as far as Tinker Island in upper Blue Hill Bay and loop back home past Seal Cove and Folly Island through the Barlett Island Narrows.
The boat
We’ll depart Surry aboard The Select, Capt. Linda Greenlaw’s spacious 55-foot tour boat. A renown Maine author, Capt. Greenlaw has extensive knowledge of Maine’s fisheries, having made her living captaining lobster boats and commercial fishing vessels throughout the Gulf of Maine.
Drinks and hors d’oeuvres
We’ll enjoy fresh oysters from Linda Greenlaw’s local oyster farm, shucked right on the boat, along with drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
