Bird Walk at Erickson Fields
Join us for a guided bird walk with MCHT Steward & Naturalist, Kirk Gentalen, at Erickson Fields Preserve, located at 164 West Street in Rockport. From 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Kirk will lead a group around MCHT’s Teen Ag garden and through the woods, teaching how to identify birds by sight and sounds, and discover what other creatures inhabit the preserve.
Over the last 30 years, Kirk has worked as a naturalist in 13 states and has led birding trips as far away as Alaska, California, and Georgia. Locally he has led trips for Midcoast and National Audubon Societies, Down East and Acadia birding festivals as well as “Thursday morning bird walks” on Vinalhaven Island.
Kirk is Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s steward/naturalist for Vinalhaven Island where he also edits the “Vinalhaven sightings report” summary blog of natural history sightings from around Vinalhaven.

The walk is free and open to levels of experience. Registration is required. Use the Registration Button above to visit MCHT’s Aldermere Farm web page to sign up.
