Region: Mount Desert Island

Trevor was born and raised in Bar Harbor and spent his youth exploring Acadia and the region’s trails, beaches and bays. Working as a sternman on lobster boats for 7 years including in the winter, he discovered his love and respect for working on the water. This led to obtaining a US Coast Guard Captains License, able seaman rating and many USCG certifications including advanced firefighting, tankerman person in charge, fast rescue boat/lifeboatman and medical care provider. He spent 8 years as a merchant mariner based out of New York City gaining more sea time and experience while always longing for the sights and smells of the Gulf of Maine in contrast to the sprawling city coastlines along the Eastern seaboard.  He became a Registered Maine Guide in 2017 and enjoys hiking, exploring, deer hunting and watching wildlife.

Trevor lives in Somesville with his wife and two young children.

Trevor has been with MCHT since 2022.

On Land Conservation: “I am proud to be a part of retaining access for hikers, anglers, clammers, swimmers, explorers, boaters, and nature lovers. The ongoing protection of land, wildlife and local heritage with varying community use can be a challenge but I love being a part of this work in a region that means so much to me.”

On the Job: Trevor stewards the eastern portion of the MDI region including preserves in the towns of Gouldsboro, Hancock, Swans Island, Winter Harbor, Frenchboro and Isle Au Haut.
