Lessons at Erickson Fields
This fall, MCHT partnered with three experiential learning school programs at our Erickson Fields Preserve in Rockport. The collaboration proved fruitful for eight young gardeners eager to engage with nature, serve their community, and attain personal, educational goals.
Saltwater Farm in Bernard Conserved for Public Access
With support from donors to its recent Mount Desert Island Land Conservation Initiative, MCHT purchased the property from the Kelley family who have lived there for over half a century.
Getting Outdoors in Lubec
This fall Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s Regional Steward Melissa Lee joined Lubec Outing Club members on foot and by bike, as they played outdoors and explored their rugged coastline.
Pond Island Paradise
Thanks to a generous donation, Pond Island is now a MCHT preserve that offers visitors spectacular views in all directions–from Mount Desert Island to Isle au Haut.
