Maine Coast Heritage Trust Trip Cancellation Policy

Individual Cancellations

We appreciate receiving advance notification of cancellation in order to facilitate planning and open spaces for other members. If notice of cancellation is provided to MCHT at least 2 weeks prior to the trip, a full refund will be issued. If MCHT receives notice of cancellation less than 2 weeks but more than 48 hours prior to the trip, a 50% refund will be issued. No refunds will be issued less than 48 hours prior to the trip. MCHT Cancellations/Alternative Dates

Maine Coast Heritage Trust reserves the right to cancel any trip at any time and refund payment. If MCHT must cancel a trip for any reason, we will make a full attempt to contact you in a timely manner.

Generally, trips run rain or shine; however, in the case of severe weather MCHT or the boat captain may elect to cancel that day. If a rain date has not been designated, individuals will receive a full refund. If a rain date has been assigned and severe weather causes the trip to run on the alternate date, participants must agree to participate on its alternate day (generally the next day). If the individual does not participate on the alternate date, no refund will be provided.
