Beautiful Blue Hill Bay, with its miles of open water and snug little coves, harbors an assortment of dramatic islands in various stages of conservation. On this tour you will learn of the cultural and conservation history of many of these islands while enjoying breathtaking views of the age-old mountains and dramatic headlands of Mount Desert to the east. We will stop for a picnic lunch on MCHT's Tinker Island beaches and return to view many properties along the western shoreline of Mount Desert which Maine Coast Heritage Trust has helped to preserve.
Departs from Bass Harbor, 9am-3:30pm, $60 plus parking.
