The early morning ferry will get us out to the island with plenty of time to explore Frenchboro's shoreline and inland trails. Once on the island, you can take the complete shoreline hike, choose leisurely walks of varied length or simply relax near the cobblestone beach. Afternoon activities will include a tour of the town's museum and a discussion of the ecology and conservation of the island. If you like, you may finish the day with lobster rolls at Lunt Harbor on the island.
Departs from Bass Harbor, 8am-7pm. Ferry ticket $9 plus parking (paid to Maine State Ferry; rate subject to change without notice).
