This overnight excursion begins with an early morning ferry to Vinalhaven for two very full days biking, hiking, birding and kayaking. This island community lies 15 miles off the coast and is the largest of the 14 year-round island towns of Maine. We'll explore the trails and shores of several MCHT preserves, kayak around the Basin, search the woods and fields for owls and songbirds, and share breakfast with the Vinalhaven Land Trust to learn about conservation on the island.
Please register early, as lodging options on the island are limited!
